انجمن تالاسمی ایران به نمایندگی از بیمارانی که عمیقاً اهمیت حیاتی مراکز درمانی و نقش حیاتی آنها در نجات جان افراد را درک می کنند، بدین وسیله این بیانیه را صادر می کند تا حمله اخیر اسرائیل به بیمارستان غزه را به شدت محکوم کند. هدف قرار دادن عمدی یک مرکز درمانی، اقدامی است که در تضاد با اساسی ترین اصول انسانیت و قداست موسسات پزشکی است.
بیمارستان ها مکان های درمان، پناه و آرامش برای بیماران هستند. آنها به منظور ارائه خدمات مراقبت، آسایش و درمان به بیماران بدون توجه به شرایط اطراف آنها هستند. حمله به بیمارستان غزه نه تنها حمله به یک مرکز تحت حمایت حقوق بشردوستانه، بلکه حمله به ایده حفظ جان و کاهش رنج بشر است.
اعتقاد راسخ ما این است که تلاش ها برای عادی سازی چنین اعمالی، به ویژه حملات به مراکز پزشکی، باید توسط جامعه جهانی محکوم شود. ما از همه طرف‌های درگیر می‌خواهیم که حفاظت از غیرنظامیان، از جمله پرسنل پزشکی و بیماران را در اولویت قرار دهند و به قداست مؤسسات مراقبت‌های بهداشتی در مواقع درگیری احترام بگذارند.
با صدور این بیانیه، ما بر تعهد خود برای دفاع از حقوق بیماران، حفاظت از امکانات پزشکی و اصول حقوق بشردوستانه تاکید می کنیم. ما از جامعه بین‌المللی می‌خواهیم که برای تضمین امنیت و رفاه همه غیرنظامیان، ارائه کمک‌های پزشکی ضروری به نیازمندان و تلاش خستگی‌ناپذیر برای حل و فصل مسالمت‌آمیز درگیری‌های جاری در منطقه، اقدام فوری انجام دهد.
حمله به بیمارستان غزه یادآوری آشکار از ضرورت اولویت دادن به صلح، شفقت و انسانیت در مواجهه با چنین شرایط ویرانگر است. ما نمی‌توانیم در برابر چنین جنایاتی ساکت بایستیم و برای قربانیان این و همه حوادث مشابه، خواهان پاسخگویی و عدالت هستیم.

The deliberate targeting of a healthcare facility is an act that goes against the most fundamental principles of humanity and the sanctity of medical institutions.
Hospitals are places of healing, refuge, and solace for those in need. They are meant to provide care, comfort, and treatment to patients, regardless of the circumstances surrounding them. The attack on the Gaza hospital is not only an attack on its physical structure but an attack on the very idea of preserving life and alleviating human suffering.
We join our voices to express our deepest condolences to the victims and their families who have been affected by this tragic incident. Our hearts ache for those who have lost their loved ones, and we stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza who are enduring immense hardships during these challenging times.
